Sweetlix Pasture Hay Balancer
Sweetlix Equine Pasture Hay Balancer is a free-choice supplement block for horses and a mineral, vitamin and protein supplement in one. Ideal for supplementing hay and limited pastures, it delivers 20% protein from all natural sources. This is a weather-resistant block and can be placed directly in pastures or paddocks with horses – no shelter needed.*This feed contains added selenium at 2.6 mg/kg.
Reliable, self-fed protein, mineral and vitamin supplement in one. Following a seven to 10 day acclimation period, average consumption should be ½ to 1½ kg per head, per day for horses with unrestricted forage supplies. Position the blocks 15 to 25 metres from loafing, feeding and watering areas. Some repositioning of blocks may be necessary as animals become acclimated to the presence of the blocks. Move blocks closer to increase consumption; further away to decrease consumption. If overconsumption occurs for more than two weeks and repositioning of blocks does not correct the situation, remove blocks and evaluate the overall feeding program. Do not allow starved animals free access to this block. Feed one block per five horses.
