Central Alberta Ag Supplies was founded by Gary & Leigh Rairdan with their daughter and son-in-law Crystal & Del Thompson in 2017. In 2016 the Raridan family purchased the Stettler Auction Mart and quickly realized there was a need for a quality farm feed store in the Stettler area. Having the space to provide such a service paired with the background knowledge and love for animal husbandry Central Alberta Ag Supplies was a natural fit to the Family run business.

Starting out small providing salt, loose and tub minerals as well as a small selection of feed and vet supplies, customer service was and remains their top priority. As the word spread and the product need increased Central Alberta Ag Supplies’ first renovation happened in 2019. Moving from a 400 square foot retail space to a 1000 square foot space made it possible for CAAS to better serve the needs of the farmers in the area. With the increased retail space came more inventory adding pet foods, a wider variety of vet supplies, tags and electric fencing. The expansion to the retail area inside also came with an expansion to the outside yard, adding gates, panels, windfences, forage seeds and forage supplies to the list of products CAAS provides. As CAAS has grown over the years so have the services they provide. Feed testing and ration balancing for beef herds are on the rise, as well as optimizing forage seeds for rejuvenating pastures and rotational grazing practices.

  

In January of 2024 CAAS had a fire that resulted in the loss of their feed shed. Quickly regrouping they were back up to operational, out of a temporary location, to remain serving their customers best they could. By January of 2025 construction had finally started on a new building and a yard plan had been created to expand the inventory selection CAAS could offer. By the fall of 2025 plans had shifted once again. With the new building still under construction it was an easy transition to move CAAS’ main retail space into the new building and expand on their inventory once again. With the Grand Re-opening of the New building in May of 2026 CAAS is ready to serve their valued customers with more products, more services and a reinvigorated team, ready to provide outstanding customer service of high quality products at affordable prices.
